I’m new here I hope I did this right so, if I did something incorrectly, please tell me, and also how to fix it. I am trying to enter the monthly competition.
just to make sure everyone understands. Dump trucks commonly have signs that say something to the effect of “stay back 200ft” on the back to prevent rocks that fly out of the back from hitting cars behind them. so, the vehicle is a dump truck. I might be over explaining.
bet this driver wishes he was 200 ft back.

everyone else seems to have done cats so this is a great change of pace (this is an exaggeration, not everybody has done cats but there are quite a few of them) 
edit: i should also mention that i love cats and I’m not complaining

I managed to finish it earlier than I thought I would, yey!
My piece is a bit more loose with the “5 seconds before”. I was more intrigued by the “or any moment when the air feels heavier than usual” part.
I painted my memory before being carted away for my first surgery. After a few seconds of seeing this I fell under anesthesia (am I using the word correctly? I fell asleep a few seconds after seeing this because of the thing they put in an IV). I’m in my twenties, so this was one of those bigger scary-ish first experiences in my life!

As soon as I read the brief, this image immediately came to mind. I’d totally book a week at this hotel, just for the pool!
As always, there are so many awesome submissions this month… and I expect to see a few more pop in over the final two days!
And thanks to @Mythmaker . You suggested that perhaps the new format would have people spending more time on their submissions. I usually doodle something up and go from there, and this month I took your subtle push and took a bit more time with the details.
