Amazing theme reveal, gorgeous drawing, considering that it was drawn from scratch in my head, no tricks with photos, and in a limited time. 
It’s a pity, but second place is also good. 
Потрясное раскрытие темы, шикарная прорисовка, учитывая что рисовалось с нуля из головы ни каких фокусов с фото да ещё и в ограниченные сроки. Жаль, ну дружище второе место это тоже хорошо.

Thanks @Dima ! It started out as a quick sketch, then a watercolor, and finally evolved over about 3 weeks to what you see here.

@steve.improvthis I’ve been following the competition from the very beginning 
, and I really like the results. In general, I have more respect and appreciation for works that are created from the artist’s imagination rather than based on photographs or 3D templates. When an artist comes up with a story, creates a sketch, finds the right angle, and then adds light and color, it is truly an art form that deserves attention and respect. 
Я следил за работой от самого начала конкурса, и мне очень понравился результат. Я вообще больше уважаю и ценю работы из головы, созданные не по обрисовкам фотографий или 3D шаблонам. Когда художник придумывает сюжет, делает набросок, ищет нужный ракурс а потом накладывает свет и цвет, вот это искусство достойное внимания и уважения.

I’ve had cases where a person has an impeccable portfolio, gorgeous drawings with deep perspective and perfect angles. I give them a piece of paper and a pencil, ask them to sketch something quickly, but unfortunately, they have no idea how to use perspective with two vanishing points. I tell them, “I can’t draw on paper…” 
У меня были случаи, когда у человека безупречное портфолио, шикарные рисунки с глубокой перспективой и идеальным ракурсом. Я даю ему лист бумаги и карандаш, прошу накидать что то по быстрому, а он увы и понятия не имеет как перспективу с двумя точками схода использовать. Я говорит он, не умею на бумаге рисовать…
