"Medieval: Back and Forth"

Artstation is running an art challenge where the idea is to think about what might happen if the modern world and our medieval past met somehow. I’ve submitted these to the keyframe art part of the challenge.

Basically I took a very cynical (realistic?) look at it and decided, if we had access to a pristine new world in the past, we would exploit it to the hilt. What an opportunity! These frames are points in the inevitable progression from first contact to subjugation.

That’s a great set of images! :star_struck:

The storytelling is strong in each frame and I get a clear sense of narrative progression through the set. The composition, palette and lighting is really well considered in every frame.

I hope the judging goes well for you! :+1:

Awesome execution

Thank you for your kind words! We’ll see how the judging goes, but this was really good practice either way.

Fantastic! The sneaker scene blows me away.

I love the idea and execution of yours! I mean i don’t think the medieval times realistically viewed were any better so probably not so much has changed in human nature since. We just show it more rarely nowadays.
