Microsoft Surface Pro Review

That’s why his is preview and I go to different source for indepth. I dont think he uses the devices long enough for him to register if this is significant difference. In his credit though i think his top pen to this day is the Wacom Pro pens.

My gripe oth is different since this lag is something that will not register to me since i never had a wacom with pro pen. Mine is the ever so slightly initial activation change that happened between older huion tablet [my gt191 pen] to the one use in Kamvas and newer]. Its better in the older pen even though the newer pen is good in many other areas.

Teoh is better source for more in depth but I dont think he also does indepth on pen performance test and such. Honestly finding tablet reviewer that is artist focus is hard

those desktop specs are very beefy. i wish my desktop could come close.

There’s really no tablets out there that could come close to your desktop specs, which means that even the most expensive all-in-one tablet out there won’t run as well as your computer.

@edgarej When I got it a few years ago, I just told the guy at the PC shop that I needed one that would run CorelDraw, FlexiSign, Photoshop and a vinyl cutter at the same time with no probs. And that’s what he gave me. Lol

In all honesty your surface pro tablet is the best bang for the buck out in the market right now. The most expensive all-in-one tablet out there is the Wacom mobile studio series, and its specs are comparable to the less expensive top of the line surface pro.

Your only other option is to buy a gaming laptop with comparable specs to your desktop. But if you go that route you would have to purchase a separate drawing tablet/monitor, which makes your plein air setup somewhat bulky. It’s still doable though. You can have a portable stool to set your laptop on and a portable easel to set your drawing screen on.

Just understand that as a general rule, desktops are going to be more robust in terms of power than laptops and tablets. Trying to cram a whole lot of hardware in such a small space like tablets means there will be sacrifices made.
