Mirroring Linux Display and Input on Android Tablet

Type of device* : Android Tablet + Chromebook or Arch Linux Desktop
Brand and version of the device: Lenovo P12
System** : Chromebook/Ubuntu VM/Arch Linux

This is an issue for Krita as well as, e.g., programs like Blender. Less so for Krita because there is a fairly well-functioning Play store version available.

What I would like to do is mirror my computer display to my Android tab, and use the pen input on the Android tab. Basically something like using my Android tablet as a drawing tablet.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

I performed a quick search on Google but nothing stood out.

Thank you!

You might have come across this but any of the recommendations here would help?

https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxquestions/comments/j2lv8z/equivalent_to_superdisplay_on_linux/

I did see info about SuperDisplay and also Duet, but both require a purchase and/or monthly fee.

I was hoping for a free or open source project, but I may try out one of these if I can’t find anything else.

Superdisplay doesnt have a driver for linux afaik, there are other software being mentioned in the reddit thread I shared but I am not knowledgeable about those software, but those may be helpful to you

Oh, I didn’t see the post about Weylus. It even has an AUR package. I’ll try it out. Thank you!

If someone searches for alternatives, like you, I can always recommend to search for those at:

https://alternativeto.net

Often, but unfortunately not always, you’ll find what you’re looking for, Deskreen for instance seems a good candidate.
It is always a good idea to open the alternatives they offer, even if their description does not meet your needs, and see what alternatives are offered for the alternative, because these search-results often differ from app to app. This way I found Deskreen, that isn’t listed below Superdisplay that I used as first search term.
