I have a theory: it’s actually a Barbapapa shaped as a pickle just for fun!
Since it’s green, it must even be Barbalala… ![]()
Well, it was about time for me to start working on something…
Even though I had some ideas pretty quick, I’ve been really unmotivated to move for most of the month, I guess Christmas blues hit me hard this year.
But I finally worked on it for the last couple of days, and here’s the result.
No WIP this time because I painted it pretty quick and before that, well, the anatomical construction would have probably been categorized as NSFW, but hopefully now the raffia skirt makes it safe for all to enjoy… ![]()
Yet another film poster parody, this time from Apocalypse Now… I don’t know about you, but I much prefer the type of “bomb” in my version rather than the original!

I like the lighting and the grass skirt @Corentin ! Was that a ‘hair’ brush you used on the skirt? Well done!
Sorry to hear the blues have hit ya, I know this time of year can be really rough. I was hoping the topic would push some of that to a back burner, I know it’s part of my escape. At least we can look forward to more sunlight as the days are getting longer. ![]()
Thanks Steve… I didn’t really think of the optional challenge this time and used mostly my usual brushes: mainly the bundle “Deevad 23.01” made by @Deevad, which is very complete and practical, and for the skirt I think it was the brush “Bristle Tilt Modeling” from that pack.
Would totally watch this film!
Great job @Corentin !
LOL Thanks! ![]()

Love it! The lighting is cool ![]()
Hahaha! Gave me a chuckle. You are so creative! Love it. ![]()
Thanks @Elixiah! To be honest, I don’t have much merit for the lighting, it was kind of stolen from the original poster, I simply adapted it to my subject! If I had to invent it I think I would have never thought of that blue light in the back… ![]()
But that’s the good thing about doing parodies and/or copies, you can learn new things! ![]()
@Corentin But that’s how we learn new things! You will remember that back-lighting and try it on another piece. ![]()
They certainly deserve a day off! I love the stocking on the beach chair @Jelanij !
You have to add it to your first one.
Michelist
Just did. Sorry.
20h in 4 days…that’s what happens when you combine too many ideas…
Ended up using almost exclusively “Speedpainting Blocking Shape Textured” from a David Revoy bundle, because too lazy to search for a better brush ![]()
Awesome @Lynx3d ! She looks like she’s having a fun beach day!
I’ll have to check out that brush, you did amazing work with it!
