I’m not really sure I want to post this, but I suppose I might as well… 
I wanted to do something less literal and more decorative. I only did one thumbnail then resized it and worked over that - just experimenting as I went.
I mainly used a watercolour style brush I made years ago - I wanted to keep it loose and natural looking. Sometimes I deliberately choose brushes that are useless for fine detail to discourage fussiness.
Of course - I did rush to try and make the deadline so I’m not really satisfied with the result. It was still worth doing though - even if just to get the motor running again!
