New brushes I’m playing around with include VB1AK Knife blend for the sky and Rakurri set’s rin) Sensei ink brush for the palm fronds and ocean waves. This brought a new feel to the water…
I don’t usually add people to my landscapes, I feel like I’m having a struggle with the overall scale.
The waterline still needs some work here, the far beach feels way too sandy with the hills so far back… but it’s getting closer to done.
Loving all y’alls submissions! I may not have time to get an entry in this month. Slammed with last minute Xmas pet portraits. Trying to oblige for the animal rescue donations they provide!
Here’s a tropical theme painting I did a while back of a foot bridge in Gemini Springs, FL, right down the road from me…, but I won’t be submitting it since it’s not new.
Whhoooa! This is amazing @Elixiah! As usual, it’s hard to believe it’s not a photo! And lucky you to have that so close to home… I have snow in my forecast today.
The answer is always found in the submissions’ topic, in the opening post the exact date is mentioned and under the last posting you’ll find a countdown.
I built the composition around a Fibonacci spiral so I suppose the uncropped ratios feel better… I’ll keep poking around with the bottom of the image today.
For an ideal framing, you’d even let a bit more space in the bottom, even if you have to sacrifice a bit in the top (maybe select all layers and slide them up?). Those feet have to breathe, man!
I transformed a bunch of layers, scale feels better. Did some wet work to fix a wave and add in some light… It’s looking like what I imagined at the start.
Thanks for not letting me settle!
Dogs radiate pure happiness at the beach, and I hope this little illustration captures that joy. You’ll spot one dog digging on the side—it’s always more fun when they have friends to join in! LOL. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season. Cheers!
Hello Corinne, if your second picture really is what you named it, your finished piece for this monthly challenge, then you have to submit it in the topic for the finished pictures:
At the moment I’m a bit stumped, Corinne, because I’m not sure if you have to remove the picture that’s in the contest from this post, or if it’s not a problem because it’s now clear that it’s your entry. @sooz, @AhabGreybeard, @raghukamath, can you help us out in this regard?
The Challenge discussion topics are intended for initial presentation of work, for discussion.
That is what was done and discussion was had
This one is for Sooz really.
