Progress of my first entry: 30%
The photo on the left is a photo of the bamboo garden in my front yard that I took using my phone camera. I drew it by aligning my drawing with the reference photo instead of tracing it, because I think this way makes me learn more and makes me more confident in my observation ability.
I also found a faster way than using the regular selection tool, which is to use brushes that use the Shape engine (I hope it’s still included in the challenge)

With this, I was able to create organic shapes in seconds, and this was after I had tried it for about 30 minutes. Since all the basic shapes are visible, it looks like I can go straight to the detailing process.
