Does the submission have to be newly done artwork, or can it be an older piece done a long time ago?

This has been asked before and this reply seems to cover it:

Could one submit a comic as an entry?

I don’t see anything against it in the rules, a comic is just a multi-parts illustration after all! Although it may depend on the number of pages, but I’m assuming you mean a short comic…?

You can do that, @Hephaestus, just bear in mind that the poll will only display a small version of the overall image (take a look at this previous poll as an example). Poll images can’t be clicked to see them full size.

If your submission should win, we would have to ask you to create a thumbnail that would be suitable for the featured image banner.

Fluffy Clouds - reference from a photo my sister took in AZ (permission received). Still a WIP. Feels like the bottom clouds need a bit more texture…
Who knows, maybe my orange tabby Ginger will get an entry this month too.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to submit an entry for Nov and Dec challenges. I am heavily booked with Christmas orders for pet portraits these two months as usual. I don’t know why people always wait until the last minute to order Lol.
I will try to get something in though!

Your submissions are super aspirational for me @Elixiah. Of course real life needs to come first, but hope to see your next piece here soon!

I suspect those pet portraits are gonna be fluffy? You sure you can’t get one to sneak in here?

@steve.improvthis Thank you! I also have had so much inspirational help from other artists that I admire over the years. None of us are ever done learning! :slightly_smiling_face:

For the last one this month, it seems fitting that I do a new portrait of my kitty, Princess Ginger Fluff. She’s not the most photogenic… infact she usually hides from the camera so this seems like a purrfect pose for her. :smiley_cat:

I snuck this picture of her in the spring of last year while she was snoozing in the sun on the sofa.

I think I have the blocking set, now it’s time to add in the fluffy!

Fluff applied… I may make some updates before moving over.
