HEAVILY influenced by an Enya Todd picture I saw a while back. Her image is a watercolor (I think)… but try as I might, I just can’t seem to get the hang of watercolors in Krita. This was done mostly with the rfr) Fur Ink for the citrus and the basic Air Brush plus blending for the girl. A few other specialty brushes here and there to add textures. Hope this captures the “Traditional Refreshments” topic. I have a feeling there are a few more in me for this one!
I know the photo is from a restaurant, but I think a burger and fries is something I’d consider to be a “Traditional Refreshments and Snacks” and “Home Made”.
Anyways, is’s a year since Jimmy Buffett left us and I was in the mood to do a tribute. Still a WIP, lots of details and cleaning up remaining. Wanted to post this here… seems a bit quiet lately.
Spoiler: From a blurry reference photo on TripAdvisor…
I’m here lurking I had foot surgery 3 days ago and haven’t been able to get comfortable at my pc desk yet, on top of my Dad passing recently. But I’m itching to start on this month’s challenge. Art is like therapy for me. I’ll get there, just not for another week or two.
Argh! I feel like this challenge will be hard for people with a sugar-free diet (or any other diet, probably)! The temptation…
Couvrez ce sucre que je ne saurais voir.
Par de pareils objets les âmes sont blessées,
Et cela fait venir de coupables pensées.
(Parody of a famous quotation from Molière, Tartuffe. In English:
“Conceal this sugar which I dare not see.
By such objects the souls are hurt,
And it produces guilty thoughts.”)
Composition and lighting aren’t my strong suit. I was thinking maybe to add some chocolate chips and pecans around it (to make it more obvious what it is, and more interesting to look at), but not sure it’ll work. Still a ways to go anyways.
