Hey everyone, I know I didnt make it in time because of life, but a lot of sweat and tears went into this piece for me and i hope you all can enjoy it regardless.

I used the air brush, a variation of the wet knife and a lot of Kritas other functions.
If you would like to see some of the progress for the artwork, I will upload it in the upcoming days on my ID: @skyat_ron (Ron (@skyat_ron) • Instagram photos and videos)

The vote totals are showing as NaN%
What does bread have to do with this?

I can’t see that

I can’t see the show total button anymore and I can’t vote, probably because I’ve already voted.
Let’s assume it was a stange glitch?

@Skyat can you suggest the topic for next contest. @Mako_Matt I would request you to suggest one too, in case we don’t here from skyat we can fallback to the topic you suggest.

Who is going to suggest the challenge? Maybe for the next contest first place gets to chose the theme and second place the challenge or something? Or is the challenge going to be the same for all contests?

no both challenge and theme is chosen by the winner, Since coordinating is a problem we can say both can suggest topic if one doesn’t answer then the theme and challenge from other contestant can be chosen.

It’s not mentioned in the opening post, that’s why I asked.

Hey everyone,
the theme I thought of is: “afterglow of a bygone era
You can interpret afterglow and era in any sense you like but the concept should be noticeable for a viewer who doesn’t know the theme.
The challenge is to use a “split complementary”-gamut mask which is a feature in Krita to get a limited color palette. You need to activate the “gamut mask”-docker and select the gamut mask which looks a bit like a Y (It’s also named split complementary). Also you will need the advanced color selector and choose a round/circular color selector. The final orientation of the gamut mask is your choice. (For a better overview of this and further, helpful links read this page from Krita’s manual: Gamut Masks — Krita Manual 5.0.0 documentation)
I hope you all like this prompt and I wish you happy painting!

@raghukamath Will you organise the thread for the next contest? I would be very thankful to you because I’m a bit busy at the moment.
