Moodboard challenge January 2024

Hello everybody!

So sorryfor the delay butI’ve been facing some problems theses days. Also looks like I have lots my computer at all. Fiinally I decided to do it on my tablet and the experience was quite good so, thank you Oneplus tab :white_heart:

I didn’t have my template for the moodboard so I just do a new one, very similar because I’m a paper lover

Hope you like it:

By the way, I’m pretty sad that Pinterest is full of ai images, so do the moodboard have become a bit of a headache (even physical) to do. I’ll still use Pinterest trying my best not to use ai image but I’ll search for other alternatve or even take photos myself even if it’s from books but at least will be from real references.

Have avery nice day and month :star2:

:arrow_forward: Timelapse

My entry for last January, I practiced making a lot of sketches from this moodboard (they are all in the timelapse recording). I first sketched from January 20th and I tried to leave it for a few days to get new ideas, but it felt like I left it too long.
:kiki_upside_down:
I chose the first sketch to organize the ideas, then I tried to make it in an anime art style (which I’m trying to improve) and that became the second drawing.
:kiki_love:
Without realizing it, I ignored the white teapot. :see_no_evil:

Started this a few weeks ago, couldn’t remember quite what I was going for when I went to continue it. Though I guess that’s happened with most of these I’ve done; I’m starting to question why I keep doing them.

Some sort of picnic with a winged being in a field of flowers on a cloudy day.

@Iruhas Thank you for your participation. The first sketch was a beautiful character design. I really like the dress. And don’t worry about the teapot xD There’s no need to use all the things in the moodboard.

@freyalupen I feel sorry you feel a bit lost with most of the challenge you have done. I hope you can keep improving and working on your art. Sometimes is more about what feeling we want to reflect in our illustrations what’s important but from one day to another we change and we don’t know really what we felt in the first place. Being a creative it’s a bit difficult sometimes so I wish you don’t feel discouraged and as a creative soul keep going to find the way you “speak” with your art :white_heart:

By the way I decided to stop doing the challenge. Somehow it comes to my mind when I went with a friend to a street market to sell my art. A woman come and I was talking to her about the serie of coffee cats I made for inktober. I explained to her what the challenge was about and she said to me: " Isn’t life challenger enough so you add more challenge to it?" I laugh a bit and thinking about this challenge I felt like one year was enough. We need to know when to stop too.

Thank you so much to all the people who in some moment come to see the challenge or get inspired or whatever. Wish you all the best and keep being creative souls :white_heart:
