Just discovered that a group of artists (Krita-artists community) does not permit using the names of famous artists or colors or other common names for common things.
Since that is where concerns lie, there is nothing useful for me here. So I’ll say, “So long.”
I suspect that this statement is related to the attached post from the topic “Best Tutorials”. I was already wondering about the statement made there while reading through the post, after all, I have always been able to name each artist name and color by their name.
So Rubens, Vermeer, Prussian Blue (Preussisch Blau), and so on. But “van D y k e” is really suppressed by a stupid filter, and I’m very sure, this is by mistake and has nothing to do with the nickname of some guys named Bill. @raghukamath, could you please check this list and maybe adjust it? I believe that no one has to be protected when it comes to “van D y k e”.

Edit/Add: Hello @AhabGreybeard I think this belongs to site feedback, should we move it to that category?
That is not the case. It is the word “d*yke” that was automatically blocked.
I’ve brought the “d*ke” word being blocked situation to Raghu’s attention.
It is used as a sexual insult and so it was on a standard list of words that are used for the blocking function.
No solution is perfect and adjustments could be made if needed.
Me, too. Everyone is welcome. We have lots of young people in this community (as young as 13) so the forbidden word list that was recently implemented is really to keep things as family oriented as possible.
We also have much younger users here. Some by “accompanied browsing”, that is, an adult person who pays attention to the offspring, and also kids who registered here, disregarding the TOS, and use the forum without the watchful eye of a guardian. Some of them freely admit it.
We should also pay attention to them and try to protect them, at least in my eyes. But such obvious misclassifications of a filter can be adjusted.
Those kids who want to misuse, misinterpret and misunderstand something, no one can protect them anyway, they of course always click the Yes, I’m 18 or older button into the insufficiently protected 3X areas of the web.
