I thought about adding a person for a moment, but in the end decided against it. The artist I referenced basically never adds them, and still his work speaks to me a lot. I wanted to delve into the genre of (pure) landscape paintings, as actually most of my works so far were people and animals. Also, I think there is already enough going on with the flowers in the foreground.
Nonetheless, I do agree that it can be a great idea to add some humans and pets, like this other June/July contest winner demonstrated: Summer Retreat
