I need some information on the use case of “move tool” versus moving things with “transform tool”, I’d like to know more about their differences in krita.
For example you can move a layer in wrap around mode with the move tool correctly. The layer this way doesn’t get cut like it would if you do the same with transform tool. In most other software I have used these two have the same results.
Is there other cases such as this where move tool is more appropriate?
Imagine the layer as a sheet of paper: The move tool moves the whole sheet of paper while the transform tool removes the drawing from the paper and reaplies it somewhere else (or warping the paper in a way that it’s content appears somewhere else, relative to the boundaries).
To the naked eye it can look similar because the transform tool tries to enclose all non transparent pixels by default. The move tool however just moves the layer (or selection) while the transform tool does a matrix transformation to the layer’s pixels.
