Hello, I had the idea for multi page/canvas workflow in one tab, where you can work on one document, where many canvases are accessible at one time.
For example I might be a comic artist and I would like to have a whole page, something like a4 300/600ppi (which takes allot of resources), as well as one block from it. So I would have a half finished comic as well as one part of it that is being worked on at a time.
This would work the same as multiple documents in some ways (like self contained layers) but references for example would be shared throughout the doc.
Here is an example workflow:
Here I might have a large canvas that will be the final output, and smaller canvases that will then be pasted in when they are done.
In my eyes here are the advantages:
- All work is contained in one document, one page in a book can be one doc, where otherwise working on a large page might be laggy, here the larger canvas is not loaded (with only a preview, and the actual individual layers and etc are not loaded.) while working on a smaller one.
- Resources like refs are shared, where otherwise they would need to be recopied.
- There is only one timelapse at the end, and multiple dont have to be stitched together.
- A different person might want to use this view to load or make an entire PDF. I can see this being extremly usefull for notes. I would love the ability to take notes for class for example in one big doc with shared pages. In a simular way you could create a pdf with this, for example an entire comic could be a more structured format of this, where you have a preset for a number of pre-defined canvases that increase with page length. for example a preset of continuously increasing (as more are added) a4 pages.
Let me know what you think about this as im happy to hear constructive feedback.
