So sleek! I love seeing the toolbar on the bottom – I use ‘show dockers’ but ‘show docker titlebars’ is a new one for me.

How do you get to ‘tool options?’

Ooh, just noticed the ‘redesign’ menu item. Are you using a plugin for the UI?

Thanks. Yeah so this setup is designed to be focused on the painting. I use Krita on full screen also and I have so much more space for the canvas, It literally feels like I have a bigger tablet now. I don’t use the tool options. The show docker titlebars hides the titlebars of the dockers and so they become fixed permanently and very minimal (similar to Procreate).
Yes I do use the Redesign UI plugin, I love it, you can download it here: GitHub - veryprofessionaldodo/Krita-UI-Redesign: A plugin to overhaul Krita's UI.

this is the theme I use: krita - color themes – Google Drive the “darker redesign” one.

Holy moly! That plugin is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

I couldn’t live without them.

LOL, I recommended it so often in different topics, even with example pictures showing tool options and toolbox switched on and off via their tiny on-canvas buttons …

For some reason, I’ve been hesitant to add more plugins but the tool options docker swayed me. Now I have this one plus Shortcut Composer.

I’m so happy @marioiozzi shared their screenshot.

lol I just realized there is a on canvas button for activating the toolbox

Very nice! I also modded my GUI, it’s not as compact as yours because I use more dockers, but I did similar trimming to sizes and UIX. The vanilla docker titlebar also drives me crazy, specially when you have tabbed dockers, causing names to appear twice.

Thanks for sharing, I’ll be taking a look to see what I can borrow, haha.

Lol. Glad to inspire you

That are the NuToolOptions, the Toolbox (which is a special kind of docker) is found in your first screenshot ↑↑ on the far left, and the NuToolbox provided by the Redesign plugin ↓↓ would be opened via a similar button like the one you just found for opening the Tool Options, at least if you had set the hook for the NuToolbox in the Redesign-Menu. That would allow you to even close your Toolbox, that is the vertical toolbar on the left side, and to enable and disable it anytime via this tiny triangle.
This is the NuToolbox represented through the Redesign-Plugin:

It feels that you should familiarize yourself a little bit with the Krita terminology, so we can talk about the same things:

and an overview over Krita’s UI is found here:

And if you want to go far beyond the possibilities of the Redesign plugin, then you should try Touchify, that is Krita modding on steroids! It includes the Redesign plugin, as well as a few other more or less abandoned plugins like Kanvas Buddy, VaporJem, Compact BrushToggler, …, …, and if you have Shortcut Composer installed, it will integrate it into Touchify too.
