My pen isnt synced with the on screen brush

I recently got a new laptop. I connected and downloaded the driver for my Wacom One drawing tablet. I first downloaded Krita 5.2.0 when I realized this.

The first couple uses were fine, I never had this issue, but as of yesterday, whenever my pen/stylus is hovering over the canvas (or even when I’m trying to draw), the brush strokes are around 1-2cm to the right of where I placed my pen.

Ive downloaded the 5.1.5 version and I still have the same problem. I never had this problem with my old laptop and im not sure how to fix it.

I downloaded the latest and correct driver for the tablet and my pen is synced up to everything else (such as the mouse on google and the dockers on the top of the canvas), but its just not synced properly when drawing on the canvas itself.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Try this. Go into Settings > Configure Krita > Tablet settings > Input API > set to WinTab.

Close Krita.

Open Wacom interface. Turn off Windows Ink (I think it’s in pen settings).

Restart Krita and try it.

But did you install it?

If you did install it, did you uninstall the old driver and restart the laptop before installing the new driver then restarting the laptop?

In the driver settings utility, have you create a profile for krita?

Something also perhaps to try, if applicable to your type of tablet, is re-configuring/re-aligning your pen in the tablet settings, where you tap the different dots on the screen to reset your nib contact points?

Ive tried that, but it doesnt sync with the canvas. The pen still syncs with everything else such as Google and the dockers and pen selection in Krita, but it doesnt seem to sync properly with the brush when im trying to draw on the canvas

Yes ive installed the driver and there was no old one as my laptop is brand new. Im not sure what you mean by creating a profile in the driver settings utility

It didnt work, sorry

Does that mean you turned off Windows Ink in Krita, restarted Krita, and also turned off Windows Ink in your Krita profile inside the Wacom Desktop Centre?

Maybe you already did all this correctly, but it will help us help you if you outline the steps you took.

In the Wacom tablet control utility, there is probably an ‘Applications’ section where you create ‘profiles’ for particular applications, like krita, etc.

When krita is running and the tablet control utility is open, clcik on the ‘add’ button to create a profile for krita.

If you’re not sure what all this means, post a screenshot of your tablet control utility so we can see it.
