My pressure sensitivity isnt working in krita

Type of device* : Desktop with drawing tablet Artisul D16 Pro
Brand and version of the device: I brought the pre-build from PC specialist
System** : AMD Ryzen 5 3600 six core CPU 16GB RAM 6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1660 SUPER

Hi,

I’ve gotten a new computer and was setting up my tablet to work with Krita. However every method I try has not worked.

  1. Uninstalling all other drivers and reinstalling my artisul drivers
  2. It shows in the task bar and the pressure sensitivity work on the driver menu, however when I open krita it doesn’t.
  3. Tried on two different programmes: Drawpile doesn’t work but aggie it did work.
  4. I have switched it to Windows Ink
  5. I have been restarting the computers and programmes at the correct times

If you know any way of how to make this work it will be greatly apricated.

Thank you,

 Hello @tragic_travis and welcome to the forum!

Did you make sure to select the same driver architecture in both the graphics tablet driver and Krita, so either Windows Ink in the driver and Krita, or WinTab in the driver and Krita? You can find the settings for Krita in the menu “Settings” >> “Configure Krita” >> “Tablet settings”. Also, do you have the button to enable pen pressure available in your toolbar, and if so, is pen pressure disabled there by any chance?

This is how the Button looks like:
Use Pressure On-Off

Did the Artisul tablet work with krita 5.0.2 on your old computer?
Are you using 5.0.2 on your new computer?

Which operating system are you using?

Hi,

Me and my friend saw your advice and tried it. It didn’t work though.

I replugged the drawing tablet into my laptop that I’ve been using it before with. I even checked the configuration as well, that has it as win rar for krita and windows pen for my driver and that was working fine.

I even changed the desktop to this and re-tried but that didnt work.

This all works fine on my laptop but not my computer.

It worked on the old computer fine, with 5.0.2

I’m using 5.0.2 on the new computer

I’m using windows 11 I have been on both computers

I don’t know what you mean by that. ‘win rar’, ‘windows pen’?
Where are these shown?

So sorry about that, I missed remember their names.

‘win rar’ is ‘WinTab’

‘windows pen’ is ‘windows ink’

Edit: At last

I have been trying solutions since I wrote this and found a solution. I had to uninstall krita and my driver.

After doing this, I restarted the computer. Redownloaded the drivers, restarted the computer plugged in my tablet. Checked that pressure sensitivity was working, then installed krita again. I opened krita and it worked completely fine.

So, thank you everyone who gave the time to read this and I hope that if someone else experiences this, that my solution works for them too.
