With these sketches of the day, I wanted to try my hand at various techniques. The aim is to experiment with materials and textures.
The upper left one looks like watercolor or an opacity brush. I like the affect it gives.
Hi dragonscales. Yes, I can confirm that it is watercolour. To give the colour more texture, I applied a Fill Layer in which I used a very dark and contrasting Pattern and set the blending mode to Overlay. Finally, I added a Filter Mask (Adjust/Levels) to the layer on which I drew the portraits to give the colour a little more contrast.
