i try to use the latest Krita update and there’s a bug or lag where my pen/ brushes stops working and doesn’t work anymore i tried to find a way to fix this because i just started to draw and it simply stoped working. Is there any ideas to solve or fix this?
Hi @Alexandra_ion - Welcome to the forum. Can you give us a little info so we can help?
- Operating system (Windows, Android, macOS, etc.)
- Tablet make model and have you updated driver for that tablet?
- Have you used Krita’s tablet tester to if the system is communicating with Krita (Configure Krita > Tablet Settings > Open Tablet Tester at bottom). It’s the text output that is most important.
Sure!
i use Windows 11 as software. My tablet is an Huion H640P i’ve got yesterday and i started to make a test of how to use it. after i used the tester. i started to draw on Krita, after a few moments later it stoped working. Also i tried any brushes i have and it didn’t worked nor the erase. and today i started to draw an sketch and i needed to erase something, then it stoped again working i tried to use my mouse and nothing worked. nor the pen of my tablet. I feel sad cause this software is great to make arts.
These are the steps to start using Krita.
Download tablet drivers and install them on your device according to Huion’s instructions. (If you had any other tablets installed prior to this one, be sure to uninstall its drivers before installing the new ones.)
Open the tablet tester in Krita and see if the pen shows up in the text output rather than just the mouse.
Right near the tablet tester is an entry called Input API. You have a choice between using Windows Ink or using WinTab. See which one works better with your tablet (and be sure to set your tablet to the same). A restart of Krita is required in order for the change to take effect.
