We were asked for a way to let others know they prefer not to have their artwork nominated for Artwork of the Month (aka Best of Krita-Artists). This is now possible through a new opt-in setting that has been added to everyone’s profile.
To see this new option, tap your avatar, tap the profile icon on the drop-down menu, then go to Preferences. From the menu at the top, choose Profile and scroll down until you see this choice:
The default setting is off so if you enjoy the possibility of having your artwork displayed on the featured artwork gallery then please check the box. And remember to hit Save Changes at the bottom of the screen.
If you prefer that your artwork not be nominated, no action is required.
Please know this is not an automated function. It requires that each of us look at the artists profile to determine whether or not we should nominate the artwork.
How to check an artist’s preference
While viewing artwork, you can determine if the artist has opted in by tapping their avatar. The user card will appear in a pop-up with the opt-in line at the bottom.
If the member has not opted in, that line will be missing.
