I would like to use the Baskerville Oldface font with the text tool.
WAIT what is this :000 i havent seen this in krita. how do u get it?
It’s MonteCarlo from google fonts. There’s a few goto fonts I used for opentype features testing, Estonia is another with alternate swashes, but it is a little less easy to read, and also Junicode, which has a lot of alternates, but is at it’s heart a garamond-like, so I was worried it might be hard to convey why someone might want to use opentype features when they could just use a different font.
MonteCarlo was both readable, and it’s clear why the alternates are useful.
I’ve also been using Noto CJK sans for testing unicode variation selectors (which are kinda like opentype alternates, except you define them by unicode because they are fundamental to names being spelled correctly with Han script). The dialog can select these as well.
It’s the new text tool, available in version 5.3.0. Download | Krita
It has many new, cool and useful features.
