When I draw projects with more than 500 layers, managing the relationships between layers bores me to death.
Sometimes I want to achieve an effect, which is either impossible or too cumbersome.
I am very tired of the layer-based Layer system. It is not intuitive and flexible enough.
Hi Aqao, Would you be willing to help me test this sort of feature for a while? I’m adding a node based editor this week that will serve other purposes, however I can make a separate family of nodes for this purpose in a new docker
I’ll be curious to check out your node-based editor if/when you get it in Krita. I’ve been wanting to create a node-based brush editor for a while, but haven’t been able to justify putting in the time to make the interface for it yet. If you add your own node-based editor, that would save me a lot of work if I do decide to create my ideal brush engine. I look forward to seeing this!
With many layers, I think it is reasonable to have node overview. I actually would vote for this. It even improves things in other areas as well. I’d keep current features though. The real tricky part is being able to switch between the two.
