my attempt to practice a painting style using a moodboard
timelapseI just found out in the last few days that there is a moodboard challenge every month. I know I’m late but can I join the moodboard challenge that was held in the previous months?

I can’t believe it’s happened again - I started to do one for this month and it has a lot of similarity to yours! 
Okay - it’s not that strange given we’re using the same visual prompts, but the composition is very similar too!
I’m starting to get paranoid…

I had an interesting idea for this one already, but we’ll see how well I can execute it (if I even get around to spending much time on it). So far I’ve only just started trying to figure out the composition.
It’s a fairy lady stepping through a magic portal and casting magic circles. I was trying to decide whether to have her stepping through the portal or already standing past it so her head is ‘above’ the portal composition-wise.

@Mythmaker Wow well, as many of us have hear (or say as a teacher) “you can have a second look” so think about it. Also you can add something from your own like that can add more interest to the draw 
@freyalupen waaa! Look amazing the sketch!! You’re improving so much! Both ideas are good and depending of the lighting of the scene could be so cool

This is as far as I’ve gotten. I feel like there’s more I could do, but I seem to be having trouble focusing on drawing lately.
The runic text “ᛗᚫᚷᛁᚳ ᚳᛁᚱᚳᛚᛖ” is meant to be transliterated as “MAGIC CIRCLE”. (Very creative, I know.)

@freyalupen Hello dear!
So happy to see your participation. If you’re having troubles focusing the best is to have some rest time and do other kind of things. I enjoy to do handmade stuff a lot. Sometimes is small figures with paper dough or playing the ukelele/guitar/kalimba/etc or crochet… Sometimes just walking by the streets with another viewpoint. Each artist have their own things to refresh their minds. I absolutely recomend you read Austin Kleon Blog. i’m subscribed to his newsletter.
