I wonder how you process btw…
Cool picture, but the bird’s hat puts the icing on the cake!
@MangaTengu: Sorry, I’d love to, but I’m out of the running for this month, just like you.

@Zupa Thank you so much !
@Michelist Thank you very much! I am happy to hear you like its favorite matcha brush hat :).
WOW! that is awesome. Technical skill, composition, whimsey, all in one. Love the colours.
@Alex_Russell Thank you so much. That means a lot. It took me two months to finish it.
Congratulations! Your artwork has been inducted into the featured artwork gallery row.
May I have your permission to post this artwork on Krita’s social accounts? If yes, I will credit your K-A user name (or a different name that you specify). If no, no problem.
Please type @sooz in your reply so I get pinged.
@sooz Yes, of course! Thank you so much
!
Wow that really really is beautiful, makes me sad on seeing the thumbnail my first thought was "is that AI?"(sorry) anyway, this IS superb. I particularly like the lustrous texture on the candles
Thank you for your kind words, @general-avalanche-43. It took two months to finish this artwork. It doubled the work of most of my artwork because I had to create the render first with Blender and then add all the details and paint over or under everything with Krita. I am delighted to hear you like the texture of the candles.
Always a delight. Such warmth ! and an amazing, somewhat surreal palette. What’s the recipe ? Cinnamon, vanilla… anis… blueberry… and zests
ah I knew the perspective seemed suspiciously perfect. 8) I’ve never tried painting over a render, sounds fun…
Everything that works well with Matcha tea, probably not all ingredients at once. slightly_smiling_face:.
I’ve done it a few times by now: Knight of Coins.
Not suspicious at all. Artists have used clay and handmade models for centuries. I am just using Blender to work in limited space and model materials cost a lot more. It is fun, during the two months, I had doubts about this technique, simply because of the heavy workload. Last time it was a tarot card and now artwork in wallpaper size. In the end, it was worth it. This is also a great method to create assets for games.
…and here are some WIP screenshots. Some of you were curious about what the render of Oracular Oriole
looks like.
