Palette tool for Windows (and Linux)

See comments before downloading

Hello, a little message to put in light a little program that manages palettes — create, import, export, use. It can convert palettes from different programs and, obviously, Krita’s palettes.

link deleted until I’m sure it’s safe

I’m not sure if this “tool” should be used, at least not without using precautions like running this “tool” and Krita in a VM:

Here you can find its recent VirusTotal report. It is an indicator, so it can be right or wrong, but at least I won’t run it on my machine!

Thanks for the warning, but it’s considered as clean on https://virusscan.jotti.org/

I will ask the developer to verify if it’s a false positive… or not.

And I added a warning in the original post.

That is no wonder, they only use a fraction of the scanners VirusTotal uses, in numbers only 14 @ Jotti versus 71 @ VirusTotal, makes in relation ~1:4 or 20% of the scanners VirusTotal uses.

Another bad analysis Filescan.IO - Next-Gen Malware Analysis Platform

I deleted the link. And will wait for clean analysis.

The developer considers there are false positives. And with only 3 warnings for all the scanners, it can be false positives. So, it’s quite difficult to know where is the truth.

Three?
:red_question_mark:
@VirusTotal = 5 Hits from the scanners + 3 Rule Warnings with 1 severe

But if you like, see this report:
Free Automated Malware Analysis Service - powered by Falcon Sandbox

And this one is not nice too:

I could probably make a hello world kinda python program that will raise the same warnings. They’re basically all because of the use of pyInstaller which is used to create exe files from python code that is normally not available as an executable.

Thanks for these first explanations.

@Michelist I understand your warnings, but as the code is available on Github, I suppose a skilled developper can tell us if there is a real threat problem or not. For the moment, I deleted the URL, so there is no risk for the forum’s users.
