Description of the issue (you can include screenshots): Whenever I try to draw in Krita it keeps coming out like in the image instead of solid lines.
The stylus and pressure sensitivity work fine in Microsoft Whiteboard. In Krita this happens with all brushes, and it occasionally adds lines I am not making. I was trying to use the most recent version of Krita and redownloaded it to no avail. I’m now trying out different older versions in the hopes one of them will work.
That is random noise on the pressure signal and reinstalling or trying a different version will have no effect. It’s probably caused by a mismatch between krita’s tablet settings and how your laptop stylus works
Try Settings -> Configure Krita -> Tablet settings and swap between Wintab and Windows Ink to see if that fixes it. I have a feeling that your laptop stylus will be set up to use Windows Ink so it’s likely that you have krita set to Wintab at the moment. Please try it and report back on what it was to start with and if changing it helps.
I didn’t know that, thank you!
It was set to Wintab, switching it to Windows Ink didn’t seem to change anything. If I have it set to Windows Ink and then run the tablet tester, I’m able to draw smoothly afterward, but as soon as I take my pen out of range and return it it’s back to noise.
I don’t know the Lenovo Yogo or 2-in-1 laptops at all, but it sounds like its changing its mode of operation.
Krita can only work with what it’s being given and it seem that the Lenovo is giving the correct format signals only sometimes.
Do you have any kind of settings/config utility for the stylus. That may have settimgs options that can be adjusted to deal with this situation.
I messed around with the pen settings some more, looks like I needed to select “Let me use my pen as a mouse in some desktop apps”
All seems to be working well now, thank you so much for your help!
