Pen stops tracking after lifting

First time commenter here so apologies if stuff isn’t formatted correctly.
I’ve had this tablet for a bit, but I haven’t been using it for a couple days. Now when I try to lift the pen, it stops its tracking until I hover over any GUI element. The GUI part also applies to the tablet tester and inconsistent errors make me want to break something.
I don’t know if I need to provide more information.

If it was working properly previously, check to see if you need a driver update or driver restart. Sometimes Windows updates messes with tablet drivers.
