Earlier this year, I finally abandoned Windows and switched to Linux and with that I’m also in the process of transforming my entire photo editing workflow. I have been using Capture One and Affinity Photo in the past and spent the last few months learning darktable (which is a great raw developer and makes for a very competent substitute for C1).
Now I need to tackle learning a pixel editor for the few occasions where DT isn’t quite suitable (composites, sky replacements etc.). I looked into Gimp, of course, but I find Krita much more intuitive and pleasant to interact with. While Krita is first and foremost geared towards digital painting, I think all the tools I need for photo editing are there and it is frequently recommended as an alternative to Gimp.
But when looking for tutorials/videos/books that focus on photo editing with Krita, I didn’t come up with much. Was just wondering, if anyone had particular recommendations in that regard.
