First post so why not post probably my favourite painting I’ve done… Perhaps ever. It was the first time I could project my vision to the canvas just how I wanted and it came out decent. Critique is appreaciated!

If I have anything to say is that the clothes themselves should be a little darker around the flowers, but this is nitpicking. It’s a great piece of art, congrats!

Thank you! Yeah I wasn’t 100% sure about the lighting so I tried to fake as much of it as I could.

It helps me to really ground myself in reality, what emits light, what casts shadow, things like that. Thinking like a path traced renderer, basically
