Pls HELP: Creating Zoom / Rotate / Pan shortcut to pen / tablet

Hello fellow Kritas, please can you help me with your incredible knowledge, for this challenge:

After a recent Windows reinstall, I lost all my tablet and pen shortcuts :pensive: so I’m looking for a way to make it as simple as possible again to smoothly move in / out of my canvas (if poss), rotate it, pan it, and fit it back to size using a combo of the express keys on my Wacom (Cintiq), and my 2 pen buttons.

I had it down before somehow - ideally, I want to achieve a smooth / in / out like the zoom slider gives you from the circular shortcuts / wheel thing (upon right mouse click).

The + and - are a bit too “staggered” for my needs. The zoom jumps too far between steps. I’ve used Skethbook Pro for many years, and in this, they have one button that then gives you a maginfier type widget, allowing you navigate and to do most of this from that. Is there such a widget for Krita (be great to have one!)

Thank you so much for your help in advance, I’m excited to see what comes back :slightly_smiling_face:

Use ctrl or shift + middle mouse button on your pen or middle mouse button without any modifier keys. That’s the fastest way to zoom, rotate or pan with simple pen movements and it’s smooth (if canvas acceleration is enabled). You can move around on the canvas pretty quickly, it’s how I like it best. You can put ctrl and shift on your wacom remote. I prefer using the keyboard (because I keep losing my remote). Middle mouse button should be on one of the pen’s side buttons by default.

Thanks for your comment, I managed to simplify and get the zoom to my lower pen button. While holding / pressing I can zoom in and out, although moving the pen upwards on the canvas zooms out… it would be better if it was the reverse, zooming in… Any advice there also?

I don’t know if that can be changed.

Ah ok. I’ll play. Thank again. :pray:t3:
