Position of the Colors on the Color Wheel

Hey everyone,

I’ve made the switch from Clip Studio Paint and I’m really liking Krita so far.
However, I am struggling to pick the right colors while paintings because I am so used to where the colors are positioned on the CSP color wheel.

Krita:

CSP:

For example, on CSP yellow is at the top, but in Krita everything is shifted. I can’t find an option to change this. I also tried out Pigment.O, but while that has a lot of options, I didn’t see an option to rotate the hues.

I know it might seem like a small issue, but it’s really throwing me off. Does anyone have an idea how I can get the hues positioned like in CSP?

Thank you!!

Without turning your display on the side, no.
But I always see it as similar to a new games console, TV or car from a different brand, and you always get used to changed operating concepts very quickly, you just have to use it, and nobody asks the manufacturers to place button X at place Y because their former product had that button placed that way.

I know, this doesn’t help you at the moment, but if you look at it from this perspective, you may be able to get used to it more quickly, or free yourself mentally, if you like to call it that.

The difference seems pretty minimal, say 1 1/2 hours on a clock. (7 1/2 minutes). Do you normally pick your colours without looking?

That would be rather cool.

Thanks, I understand that it’s something you can get used to, but being able to rely on years of muscle memory and habits is worth a lot when painting professionally.

You could just play around with Krita doing personal paintings and not do important work with it until you get used to it. Then you could gradually adjust to where the colors are. If you were to use different art software as I do, you’d really be thrown off because a number of them have yellow several degrees off to the right side while others have yellow at the bottom!
