Hi all, back for another question. I was just animating a scene and I always have my ref pictures on the canvas, which can be a little cumbersome. I’m wondering if there is a way to move my referece pics outside the canvas where I can see all of them at once.
If you used Krita’s Reference Tool, the push-pin icon, then of course you can. You dropped them in as layers.

By the way, you can also drag and drop your references on your canvas, then Krita will ask you as what Krita should handle them, there you can decide to use the dropped pictures as references. And you can manage them too via the push-pin icon.
Yes you can by using the reference image tool (the one that has an icon that looks like a pin). When you drag and drop a file into Krita it normally also asks you how you want to add it and “as reference image” is one of the options. Reference images can be moved freely and placed outside of the canvas. They are not part of the image and not part of the layer stack.
