This picture was my second entry for the week-long contest hosted by Paintable in the fall of 2023. (You were allowed more than one entry 
) Unlike the previous portrait contests, the theme was carving digital pumpkins. (I learned quickly that pumpkins are far more forgiving than human faces 
)
My first picture was of a Pumpkinman, which apparently got me so pumped I decided to carve five pumpkins in one picture! The concept was obviously inspired by the classic idea of a fun afternoon at a fall festival. 
(In hindsight… it’s a little saturated for my taste… but the happy mood is still there 
)
I found it interesting that my first Krita picture ever (Pumpkin Patch Pals) featured pumpkins - so that was a providential amount of practice on the subject. (Plus I was able to recycle the farm backdrop for my new entries.
