I finished it today. No references, other than taking a look at a few sleeping cat poses. Originally, I was going to split it into a triptych for printing on three 16” x20” canvases. Haven’t decided. Either way, it’s going to hang in my bedroom. I love kitties.

To answer a couple questions about the leaves…
I couldn’t find a random rotating leaf stamp I liked, so I created my own animated stamp using one of Krita’s tutorials. I added a stroke outline in Layer Styles to give them more definition when layering.

Did you do the stroke outline layer style for the tree truck also?

Yes, I did. I was trying to get the outline to stay on every brush stroke, especially for the leaves, but ended up having to add more layers to get that look. Apparently, there isn’t an actual outline brush, other than tweeking some of the existing brushes, which doesn’t help, because then you can’t fill it. Anyway, it worked out. I had to make my own leaf cluster stamp, which I also applied a stroke outline to. I learn something new with Krita on just about every piece I do.

@Elixiah Hi. It’s a very nice job. The composition is well balanced. You’ve done a great job with the tree bark. The moon and the night sky in the background make the drawing more three-dimensional. The cats are incredible sloths.
