I tried both ways with success:
Do you use the patched version of BuliCommander v0.9.2b - FIXED that I offer in Grum999’s BuliCommander topic? Or did you alternatively patch it yourself according to Grum999’s advice?
So, yes, you can update with the up-to-date BuliCommander to 5.3.1, at least I had no issues.
But I admit, I tried it first without plugins installed, and later I took an installation which holds a lot of plugins, and it was relatively easy too, at least BuliCommander has no issues in its patched version.
There are issues with Krita UI Tweaks from vurentjie and I had to remove it, it interfered with a “panel” in Touchify where it disabled some tabs in its Alternative Toolshelf, another issue was that it immediately crashed Krita if I wanted to activate the Transformation Tools in the Toolbox.
But, back to your question, so far BuliCommander works as intended for me.
