Anyone knows how to add a thumbnail to the thread? It seems I had one when I started this sketchbook and now it’s missing 
Do you mean the image in your portfolio?
The first image had gone from your portfolio for some reason.
I’ve restored it by changing it then changing it back again.
You can change it for yourself by editing the topic:

I knew I should have this option somewhere and I’m sure I’ve seen it in the past but it’s missing somehow.
This may be because the topic itself is more than 30 days old and/or there had been no content added for over 30 days.
@raghukamath would be able to give advice about that.

I think you are in the edit mode check the edit button near the topic title. When you edit the topic title you get option for the thumbnail and not when you edit the post itself.
I’d do it but… there is no icon for me there (ans I’m sure there was in the past)
I’m logged in so I should see it, shouldn’t I?
I also tried it in different browsers, to no avail.
This looks like a time limit that doesn’t apply to moderators?

Regulars like me can change it too.
I guess it is a time based limit. And it seems to be bound to a posted picture.
