Hi,
At first, everything is working fine, krita is handling sensitivity perfectly, but then at a random point, it loses sensitivity without explanation.
Note that when it happens, sensitivity is still working in other drawing apps, it’s limited to Krita.
I tried restarting krita, unplugging and repluging the tablet but only rebooting Windows works.
But as it can occur just few minutes after I start using it, it’s not an option.
Check whether there’s an update for the tablet driver. Since tablet drivers contain per-application data, and sometimes even per-application code, it’s perfectly possible for the driver to be broken, even if it’s only one application that shows problems.
You can also uninstall and reinstall the driver (not Krita), or try to reset the driver’s settings. I haven’t got access to an xp-tablet, so I don’t know what their driver settings app looks like.
Thanks for your reply, I didn’t know the driver had per-application elements.
They have 2 versions of the driver, I’ll try with the other one to check if it reproduces.
The problem came back again, even with the new driver install wich is the latest from xp-pen site.
And I checked for any wacom driver, I have none (thanks for the suggestion).
I also tried to kill the driver exe and restart it, but didn’t correct.
Does your stylus have switches? Once in a while my Wacom tablet seems to be behaving badly and that’s because I have a tendency to press a finger against a stylus switch without knowing it. It sounds silly but that kind of thing can cause unpredictable behaviour.
On W10 Krita works best when its tablet setting is “wintab.” If your tablet has a settings app it’s best to turn off “Use Windows Ink” with respect to Krita. Also, in Control Panel, Pen and Touch, you’ll see a list of settings. “Press and hold for right click” has been known to cause confusion in art apps. You can select it, click “settings” and turn off “enable press and hold for right ckicking.”
Also see if your tablet has a “hover” setting. Tablets with this feature run into trouble when the user holds the stylus just above the tablet for a few seconds, causing signals to be sent to the art app. If you have a hover feature it’s best to turn it off.
