For anyone looking to create a children’s picture book size 8.5 x 8.5 inches and publish through KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing), these might come in handy.

These are .KRA files for a single page, double page spread, and a front cover for aprox 29 pages. They are already sized to KDP requirements and have margins set for the bleed area and content safe space. I have also added the original PDF download of the template for aprox 29 pages long.
Don’t forget, although it may be handy to create a double spread for continuity, KDP only accept single pages so you will need to export each side separately when you’re finished.
Please note, that when creating your front cover, it is best to go onto the KDP website and download the suitable cover template based on your book’s length, as the longer it is, the wider it needs to be to account for any additional spine width. The one I have provided here is for a fairly standard 28-30 page children’s picture book. (I used this same template for another book I did in the same size bit it was 60 odd pages and it wasn’t quite wide enough).
