Recent project i've made

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share a little project I made: File Organizer. It’s a web-based tool I built using AI (mainly Claude).

It helps organize folder and file naming, and it’s been really useful for me, so I decided to put it on GitHub.

I always had a problem when saving my Krita projects. Id get lazy and just smash random keys like “fwkvbbew” and call it a day, telling myself Id rename it later… which never happened. It slowly piled up, and there was no way I was fixing all of that manually.

So I made this instead.

It includes automated folder arrangement and a card swipe system, kind of like what youd see in apps like Tinder, but for files. I think it makes organizing a bit more fun.

You can also preview certain files if they support thumbnails, including some 3D files.

Since I built this with AI, there might be some hidden issues I’m not aware of, so any feedback or help is appreciated.

Everything runs locally, so no need to worry about your files being uploaded anywhere.

There are some future that i havent mentioned too, soo maybe you can gave them a check and see it for yourself

I thought some of you might find it useful, or at least interesting enough to try out.

 Hello @StaticNap, and welcome to the forum!

Hm, is it web-based or is it local? I’m currently not sure what I should believe in now, because both things don’t fit together.

It’s website but it only accesses local resources once its loaded, is what they mean. So basically you could run it offline if you wanted to but due to the poor design it loads some resources at runtime which would make it break if you tried.

Thank you, for your evaluation, but I don’t plan to use this AI Slop, a halfway organized file system including a more or less consistent naming is what I maintain for decades now, and for sorting there is Total Commander.

Thank you for the feedback. I’m sorry if the use of AI is disappointing, but if you liked the core idea, that’s why I’ve hosted the project on GitHub so anyone can take the concept and recreate it themselves. I mainly used AI for the code generation, but the features, logic, and design placement are purely my own ideas. Im sorry if it comes across as low-effort I’m just sharing it in hopes that some might find it helpful for their own workflow.
