Hey everyone, I have come across a slight issue and was wondering if someone could give me some advice or input. I want to resize some of my art pieces, but Krita can only change the size of the canvas, not the actual picture. I have looked all over the internet for free picture resizers, but most of them either don’t work or lowers the quality of the artwork. Could someone please help? How do you resize pictures for free, without loosing quality?
I’m not sure what you mean by ‘can resize the canvas’ but not the ‘picture’ .
Since we are dealing with raster graphics … i.e. pixels you may lose details … i.e. get jagged edges / lines when upsizing or down-sizing. Not sure if that is your issue or not.
In any case I use Krita to resize my reference photos and painting to a ‘workable’ pixel size before I start.
Under ‘Image’ - ‘Scale Image to New Size’ will let you change the image size…

Of course if you scale down an image it will loose quality… You can change the method of scaling though I think.
