The second issue is fixed, the first one is probably because that brush tip comes from Krita 3, which is disabled by default… but @halla is working on showing the brush tip in some other way.
EDIT: more precisely, it probably notices that the brush tip added to resource folder is the same as in the old bundle, so it disables the new brush tip, but then don’t show the old brush tip because it’s in the disabled bundle… so Krita can find two brush tips but the user can’t use either of them
Forgot to write about it, but your issue is already fixed by me, too. Please write if you notice any other issues, especially those that don’t appear in Krita 4.
I just tested 5.0 prealpha. There are only two mypaint brushes (I remember there are seven in total)
If you remove the 44x resource folder, these brushes will appear in “paintoppresets”
Weird, I can’t really reproduce it? I even coded it already but when I check before my commit, it still works correctly… Do you maybe have this resource folder where it only showed two presets? Or, do you know how did you end up with it?
And here I was, thinking that that’s actually a good thing (I believe a bit of a problem was that the brush changed if you untag it, but I’ll see what can be done).
In general you can faster manage tags in Resource Manager since it allows you to select multiple things, but I get why it’s important in the Brush Presets docker too.
“All activated bundles” - that’s something I want to add but it’s not super easy so I left it for later.
Selection in Resource Manager - the same as above. I’ll try to fix bigger/more serious issues first but I won’t forget about this one, it’s on the list of things to do.
This is weird! I followed your steps and did find these brushes. Let me see again, if no one else can reproduce the problem, I will manually move the new brush by myself
I suspect it is a problem I left in Test 5.0 without a backup. I found a new problem when I checked the folder: When the deleted shortcus folder contains the preset resources you are using, it will cause the pressure sensitivity to be invalid and blank issues.
I used CCBUG, not BUG, since it doesn’t fix that bug, only fixes something related to it. Basically the source of the problem was the same (code-wise), even though it was in a different component of Krita. I probably should’ve added a comment in the bug report explaining that
The issue of filtering in Resource Manager is fixed now.
Btw thank you so much for testing and writing all of this up, it’s very very useful.
