I gathered some references and the info from the commissioner to create 3 sketches for his face and pose. Reymond’s clothing and hairstyle were already set in place from the commissioner’s reference images and description 
(The final image uses the pose from sketch 3 with the face from sketch 1)
There were some important details such as the barrel pin for his cape, the pocketwatch, book, and pauldron. Reymond spent a lot of time living among dwarves so his accessories, primarily his book and armor, were inspired by more angular designs. Whereas his pocketwatch was hand-crafted by his brother in the land of fey.
I especially enjoyed adding more winter-y elements like his icy beard and hair!
