Referenced from my trip to Big Bend National Park, Texas. A very majestic place. That’s hubby in the distance Lol.
What an awe inspiring place. You captured it beautifully.
Awesome job!
Whoa! Those are quite the cliff faces. Your husband gives good perspective.
Nicely done!
Once again and excellent piece that captures not only the moment, but the majesty of the place
This is breathtaking ! What brushes did you use for the texture of the rocks? I was doing some rock studies lately and I was struggling to find right brushes for realistic textures. Thank you in advance.
Whoa. Really magnificent!
Hi @allenarak Thank you! For textures, I used some of the chalk and wet knife brushes. A few of them I tweeked to my own liking

This painting was inspired by my hike in beautiful Santa Elena Canyon, Big Bend National Park, Texas. The entire area is a painter’s and photographer’s dream.
Really cool picture.
Great lighting, it looks very cinematic.
