Shift + drag on krita android (galaxy tab s series)

I was planning on buying a galaxy tab s6 lite to use together with krita but after a little bit of research, I ended up with a couple questions about the android version, if anybody would be kind enough to answer those little bullet that would be appreciated and sorry for the inconvenience

  • Is it possible to use the touchscreen with your left hand while you hover/draw with the pen in your right hand or is the pen locking any other touch due to palm rejection impossible to work around

  • If I connect a keyboard to the tablet, would it be possible to use features like shift drag to change brush size and remap it to something like ctrl + alt like i’m used to, and is there be a way to zoom in/out without rotating the entire canvas like it works by default or is it also not something you can change in the settings

and oh yea if there are any major differences between the mobile/desktop version or if it is a accurate port/recreation, I’d love to find those out myself but i’m not particularly keen on dropping 250+ usd on an android tablet just to be surprised later, thanks in advance!

Hiii
Im an android krita user with a Galaxy Tab S9, i can answer this for you

  1. So, Krita has an option to disble palm drawing, meaning you can draw with you pen o ly and use your hand for gestures in-canvas or buttons out of canvas. You can’t do touches at the same time, but I guess thats normal, you wouldn’t be doing two actions at once.

  2. Yes! Krita is not fully android adaptable so it keeps all of its keyboard shortcuts. That would make it so much easy for you too, as Krita doesnt have the best gesture-shortcuts so yeah a keyboard would work, you can remap and I would personally recomend you to do so
