UPDATE!
I’ve found out what’s wrong! The tablet has a press key lock on it’s right.
My sister suggested this to me when she saw my frustration, as she admits that she likes to press and play around the keys on the tablet she thought maybe it was either one of us that pressed something to make it stop working.
So I checked the manual and looked for the trouble shooting chapter and lo and behold there it is:
