Hello~! This is my first post here. I’m new to digital art and new to Krita, but I’ve been practicing for a few days now that I’m off for Winter break from my classes.
This is the first detailed piece I’ve ever worked on, and it’s a remake of a colored pencil drawing I made a while ago, featuring a creature that glows from the inside like a lantern.
I’ve drawn for most of my life and look forward to improving my skills with digital over time. First and foremost I want to work on making more realistic creatures, since fantasy and wildlife are my favorite subjects (I’m a biology major). Can’t wait to see all the wonderful artists here!

I was gonna suggest you educate yourself in the subjects you want to master but you already have the major so
Haha, animals have always been my thing growing up. But I do need to study anatomy and skeletal structure most likely, as well as fur and feather arrangement patterns.
The colored pencil version is pretty rough, but if I get around to it I’ll see if I can scan it sometime. Thank you for the comment! ^-^
