Solid Inking Without Fading/Feathering

HELLO EVERYONE!
Just discovered Krita and delved in, and very excited about the immense possibilities of this program.
I previously used Photoshop and presently I’m still using a Mouse. I Will be getting a stylus for my All-In-One with Touch Screen in the future.
In Photoshop there was an option for Density along with Opacity to create non fading lines. Is there an option here, By any chance?

THANK YOU SO MUCH for any and all assistance!!

Hello and welcome to the forum and to krita

It depends exactly what you mean by “without fading/feathering” but essentially, yes.
The characteristics of any brush preset can be modified either temporarily or modified and then saved as a new custom/personal brush preset.
Also, you can setup a keyboard shortcut or better still add an icon to the toolbar to let you enable/disable pen pressure sensitvity if you don’t want opacity/size/etc variation with any particular brush preset while you’re using it at a particular time.

When you get your stylus, there may be initial problems due to having the exact settings for it and for krita ‘not correct’. These can be complicated with Windows Ink.
If you do have problems, come here to start a new topic to explain them and ask for help and advice.
The people on this forum have lots of experience of dealing with graphics tablet and touch screen stylus problems (which are never krita’s fault but are always cause by incorrect settings somewhere).

Thank you!
When I refer to fading, it is when you zoom in very closely and you see lighter tone pixels on the edges of any given linework. I have an image previously inked in photoshop without those lighter-toned pixels with the line being a solid black, and while I looked about the VERY helpful Tutorials and tried out the tools that, even with Opacity at 110% and using stabilizers those lighter-toned pixels still appear instead of a solid black.
Understandably, with layers and zooming outward, the fading most likely doesn’t matter it is a simple preference.
And hopefully, that makes a little more sense.

Ah, that
In the brush editor (F5) try turning Anti-alias off or enable the Sharpness parameter and play with it by selecting it and adjusting its characteristics.

Somebody else may know about other techniques.

Really?

LOL, no not really. I meant 100  Kinda went totally Spinal Tap there, didn’t I? (This one goes to 11)

I just tried it and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for by turning off the anti-alias!!

THANK YOU – AGAIN!! Ahab!
VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
